After you’ve added the mayo to your burger buns, place them on a plate. Add the meat to the bottom bun, drizzle barbecue sauce to cover the meat, and add your bacon slices. Top with onions, and add your pickles.
Lastly, enjoy the mess from all that barbecue sauce and enjoy!!!
Variations You Can Try
You can always experiment with different variations of barbecue sauce depending on your taste, whether store-bought or homemade barbecue sauce. I like things spicy, so I often add red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper to punch it up.
I always use Hellman’s Real Mayonnaise, but you can try others. Duke’s Mayonnaise is pretty good too.
This BBQ Bacon Burger with Caramelized Onions recipe epitomizes a flavorful, juicy burger with a perfect balance of textures. It’s a crowd-pleaser that’s sure to impress at your next barbecue or family dinner.
Don’t be afraid to experiment and add your own twist to this classic recipe. Remember, the best part of cooking is making it your own. So fire up the grill or heat up the frying pan and let the feast begin!
Commonly Asked Questions
Here are some of the common questions I get asked about my burger recipes on social media.
What type of ground beef is best for this recipe?
You can use any type of ground beef, but for the juiciest burgers, opt for ground beef with a higher fat content, like 80/20, or ground chuck.
Can I cook the burgers in the oven instead of grilling them?
Yes, you can cook the burgers in an oven. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees, place the patties on a baking sheet, and cook for about 20-25 minutes, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
Can I use turkey or chicken instead of beef for this recipe?
Yes, you can substitute ground turkey or chicken for the beef. However, keep in mind that these meats are leaner than beef, so the burgers might not be as juicy.
What are some recommended toppings for these burgers?
In addition to the bacon, mayo, and barbecue sauce, you might want to add lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions, or cheese. Don’t be afraid to get creative!
